The Original Granito’s Is Located in the Heart of Granite Bay. It Was Started Over 20 Years Ago by Lucy and Lester Mestas. What Began As A Small Casual Restaurant Was Transformed Into A Small Italian Kitchen With San Francisco Style. Over the Years, Granito’s Became Very Popular and Was Standing Room Only Almost Nightly. in Addition the Restaurant Was Annually Awarded One of Sacramento Magazines “best Of” Awards. With the Passing of Lester Mestas in 2007, the Family Decided To Sell the Restaurant. in October 2007, Granito’s Was Purchased by Granito Restaurant Group Inc. Chef and Proprietor, Daniel Seifried Began the Transformation To Bring Granito’s Back To What It Had Once Become. With Daniel’s Passion and Experience, the Restaurant Was Transformed Into the New Granito’s Italian Fusion. in April 2008, an Opportunity To Expand To the City of Folsom With A Location On East Bidwell Street Was Given Consideration. by May, Plans Were Underway for A New “granito’s” Concept for Folsom. the New Location Represented A Location With Three Times the Capacity and A Modern Kitchen To Relieve Many of the Constraints the Granite Bay Location Had. On December 7, 2008, the New Location Opened As Was an Immediate Success. 2009 As With Many Businesses and Industries Provided Significant Challenges. Granito Restaurant Group Was Not Immune. by Summer, the Company Began Initiating A Search To Replace the Granite Bay Location As Too Many Obstacles Remained To Stay in the Small Location. in February of 2010, the Company Began It Efforts To Move the Granite Bay Location.
